A: We make sure that everyone follows the rules as outlined in the Code of Conduct, Safe Sport, and USA Hockey Rules.

A: Every team needs a R&E Rep. to comply for the season.


Q: Do I need to be at every game to be an R&E Rep.?

A: No, you are not required to be at every game.


Q: Can I recuse myself from a decision for a person on my team?

A: Yes, we want you to be neutral when your team is involved.


Q: Do we monitor all activities?

A: No, we are not going to monitor every action that goes on in the club.


Q: If I see a problem should I report it?

A: Yes, if you see a problem you should report it right away via R&E email.


Q: Does everything need to go to R&E?

A: No, some things can be handled by the Hockey Director, Coaching Staff, or manager.


Q: How fast does R&E handle a situation?

A: We try to handle every situation promptly. But it all depends on witnesses, proof, and written statements. We do not want to decide in haste.


Q: How do I report an issue?

A: We require all R&E issues to be sent to the R&E email address, kingsre@kingshshockey.com.


Q: Can I call with an issue?

A: Yes, some things can be handled by a phone call, but you may be directed to send an email.


Q: Does R&E share its findings with the club?

A: No, everything we do is confidential. Only the parties that need to know the decision will be notified.


Q: Does the Board and Hockey Director have any input on a decision made by R&E?

A: No, we want complete separation from the Board and Hockey Director.


Q: Does the Board and Hockey Director get involved in any issue that comes up?

A: Yes, it will depend on the severity of the situation and with whom it involves.


Q: Can a member of R&E face an inquiry?

A: Yes, they would be relieved of any duties until a decision has been made.


Q: Why does R&E require everything by email?

A: We want everything in writing to avoid any cross communications, as well as it will serve as a reference.


Q: If I am part of an investigation can I call to plead my side?

A: No, it will need to be done via email.
